Committee Mission Statement

The WMHCA JEDI committee takes an intersectional approach to anti-racism. We seek to dismantle systems of oppression and white supremacy ideologies that create barriers to mental health for all marginalized identities and disenfranchised communities. We believe all forms of injustice are interconnected and social justice is an essential aspect of wellness. This is an action-orientated value to uphold the human dignity of all as the heart of our work and include this perspective in all aspects of mental health counseling and the organization.

Committee Purpose

The JEDI Committee is responsible for examining WMHCA practices and making sure all practices and policies are equitable.  The JEDI committee is also responsible for anti-racist training and education.
